Abstract: Launched on January 10th 2001, as an open content, free, on-line encyclopaedia, Wikipedia has grown into a leading website in terms of information and popularity.

By mid-2005, Wikipedia had one million articles and 16,000 volunteers to contribute articles to its website.

Although Wikipedia ensures that articles submitted on its website are free from bias, the reliability of the information is still being challenged.
